Alarms For Global Human Rights ~ The Crucifixion of Assange Empire's Biggest Sinner
There was an amazing lineup of speakers for the Press Conference at the British Consulate following UK Court reversing an earlier ruling and approving US request for extradition. Many well known human rights champions used their celebrity and audience reach to help amplify the alarm over the dangerous situation.
Susan Sarandon, Gabriel Shipton, Roger Waters, Katie Halper, Randy Credico and Margaret Kunstler were among the speakers. The well known anti-war activist group The Singing Grannies performed with Roger as back up singer and Jordan Chairton was live-streaming and doing interviews at Status Coup and links to those follow.
These are a series of pictures from the New York City event yesterday but they are to punctuate my rant and references about the current situation and the dark omen of government secrecy and unaccountable, unrestrained power.
These dark forces have killed many before Julian Assange. they have overthrown democratically elected governments for decades and now they’re here for us.
The words from JFK’s 1961 speech about secrecy ring like a five alarm fire and highlight the changes ushered in by those who wished him dead. Any study of covert history reveals the same cabal who were threatened by JFK are cheering the killing of Assange. Many like Biden and Hillary have openly called for his head on a pike.

Defenders of Julian have come from every corner of the globe and every walk of life. For over a decade there has been clear and convincing evidence of the legal manipulations and media lies that have been used to distract from the clear case of ending our rights to free speech and protections of free press.
Never mind the case defines journalistic activity as a crime under 1917 Espionage Act ot that Washington asserts global jurisdiction over publication of truthful documents.

Ignore the fact that Federal Law prohibits classification of crimes to conceal them or the clear breach with countless War Crimes classified and those involved are never charged while torture, prosecution, isolation and incarceration is common treatment for truth tellers, whistleblowers and hactivists.
Pretend there is a Rule of Law when CIA assassination attempts are verified in a Spanish Court but British Magistrates have no qualms handing Assange to the plotters. To cite this as a decision based in Rule of Law or justice is more fake than than the horsehair wigs and costumes they hide behind while laying waste to fundamental rights.
A far more articulate assessment was published by Chris Hedges. Any suggestion Hedges inspired the headline for this post is spot on and poor tribute to the brilliant and courageous journalism speaking truth to power and in defense of Julian Assange fro the day the first bogus sexual accusations were issued by Sweden as a ruse to extradite and silence Julian over a decade ago.

While there is incalcuable benefit to so many individuals with high profiles and large audiences adding their voices to the fight this needs to be adopted as a massive case in the public court of opinion and a lot of propaganda must be overcome to do it.
At its heart this is a battle against corporate media propaganda and secrecy powers of corrupt government. While WikiLeaks supporters have long known this is true few seem to recognize the natural allies created by the PhARMA mandates, the censorship of doctors and front line workers as the war against unseen terrorists shifted to a war on an unseen virus. It’s absurd as Omicron is a mild variant of a common cold and even Delta was less deadly to the young than seasonal flu.
As the late great Michael Ratner would say about situations where details cause confusion about what is right, “Try not to stand on the side of the executioners.“
Killing the First Amendment with claims of Public Health or National Security makes no difference. There’s always a handy emergency and never enough freedom.

I think Assange's greatest crime is knowing how the Empire works (or doesn't work might be more accurate).

I went to two protest actions the only ones I knew of for his release and sadly the numbers aren't there nor the memory of pre disCog to get him out.
