Free Palestine ~ Brooklyn Bridge ~ City Hall ~ Tribeca ~ Soho ~ Village March
Pictures from Thursday May 15th ~ Saturday Broadway at 40th 2 pm
Thursday event began at 5pm in Brooklyn then over the bridge to City Hall and final destination was Union Square.. that’s a lot of miles. The Brooklyn Bridge is a favorite backdrop for marches so I waited halfway out for Manhattan bound march to appear.
We wove through Tribeca’s old streets into SoHo and north on Center Street.. by the time we got to Houston my tummy wanted something and a quick detour would work. My favorite Italian sandwhich shop at Bleeker and Sullivan felt close enough to grab food, hop a train to Union Square and catch the ending. The shop was closed and there is no substitute for All’Antico Vinaio and slice of Village pizza only enough fuel to head home. For the miles we covered everyone going about their lives as usual were reminded fellow New Yorkers will not forget genocide is happening in Palestine.
Flickr preview set linked for easier download.. yaay! Saturday or today ~ Times Square 2pm Golda Mier Square 40th and Broadway ~ 77 Years of Nakba ~
See you in the streets maybe with my long awaited All’Antico Vinaio sandwich.. not the Village original but tucked around the corner at 41st.. lucky us <3 NYC <3
