NYC Free Assange Rally World Press Freedom Day
Politicians & presstitutes proclaim "Journalism is not a crime" while the greatest source of truth in our lifetime is slowly tortured to death by Washington's Mafia
World Press Freedom Day was marked by Free Assange actions around the globe. Here in New York City we gathered at Rockefeller Center HQ for Comcast/NBC with speeches by indy journalists, human rights lawyers and activists.
For a good sense of the tone there’s a link to Chris Hedges speech at the end of the pictures that try to capture the spirit and pay tribute to everyone who shows up to put feet in the street and enjoy the free speech stickers convey.
As always Chris Hedges delivered a powerful speech that is a painfully accurate vision of our current peril and well worth a read to grasp the true threat.
A full album will be on FLICKR tomorrow and a link added in comments.
Enjoy the pictures & see you in the streets. :~)

Looking forward to the Flicker album.
Bobby Kennedy claims he’ll pardon Assange if he gets to be prez. I’ve concluded I won’t be voting ever in any election, but oh how I wish this could be the opportunity for Julian to finally go home to his family.
