NYC #FreeAssange Welcomes Julian's Dad & Brother
It's a dubious honor to host the pair as Julian's detention and torture drag on and on

From the day WikiLeaks published Collateral Murder video confirming America’s war crimes there has not been a moment of peace for founder and publisher Julian Assange. While US politicians, diplomats and media pay lip service to Free Speech those who expose the crimes of government are the ones who are prosecuted and jailed. Greed and corruption with a military industrial complex replacing a government of the people drives the shift corporate media and their lies of omission paired with propaganda bear the bulk of responsibility for our loss of freedoms.

Corporate media misinform the public like a virtual PR division of the Wall Street machine; our government by the people has undergone a slow motion coup. Since 9-11 secrecy laws to protect the guilty have exploded and we have lost the Rule of Law on the name of National Security. It is more important than ever for folks to talk to one another, get out in the streets and organize to inform and educate one another about the true perils we share and solutions public pressure can bring about.
For many years @NYCFreeAssange supporters have been out in NYC streets weekly with vigils at high traffic areas from Grand Central Station to the front of The New York Times which is adjacent to Times Square.
We are honored that John and Gabriel Shipton will be featured guests on Thursday June 10th at The People’s Forum. But it is heartbreaking they are still fighting for Julian’s freedom to publish truth in the public interest while war criminals host news shows, make appearances as policy experts and publish books about leadership.

Without free speech there is no cause we can fight for so look for feet in the street until the day we finally free Julian Assange from the criminal cabal who mistake public service for corporate rule to benefit themselves. Global freedom of speech is tied to the fate of an Australian citizen jailed without charges in London’s GITMO while the Biden Administration continues to pursue a threat to Free Press Obama refused to do because all publishers and press freedoms would be in peril.
Here’s where to support the fight to #FreeJulianAssange and save global free press.
