Shout out to my Aussie mates ~ srsly wtf?
Spiders, snakes & sharks don't scare you Find your Larrikin Spirit!! #StandWithAustralia #DefendDemocracy
New York City showed up at the Australian Consulate Saturday night and Sunday.
The Aussie Consulate, just east of Grand Central, was the site of the Saturday night vigil. Sunday had speakers in Times Square followed by a march crosstown to the consulate. We were there in solidarity with Australians who are living a dystopian nightmare with healthy people being locked in COVID Camps.
This was intended as notice the belated uploads are almost caught up to the folks who put feet in the street and enjoy sharing them not a rant. But I can’t resist the ABC crawler with news of protesters opposing COVID mandates being assaulted.
The cheerful fellow here is a teacher with NYC public schools who shared some of the hardship and chaos the pandemic policies have had on students and faculty.
It’s criminal how the laptop class are happy tosit at home with the Zoom calls, Netflix and Twitter while getting packages from Amazon and food summoned by apps never thinking of the kids who escape hunger and abuse at home by being in school.
How much protection is lost when a child is kept out of view of the world for weeks and months on end? The stories are heartbreaking.
What follows is a random assortment from two weekends and the final Aussie march from Times Square will follow soon. #StandInThePark began in the UK with a call to be in Parliament Square where their government was voting on COVID passports. Those are in Prospect Park, Brooklyn and look quite unlike Times Square. :~)
Different vibe Prospect Park & march through Park Slope to DeBlasio’s house.
more to enjoy in the albums.. it’s our fight to lose.. see you in the streets! :~)
Thank you from Sydney, Australia!
My gift to New York. Pamela...
Have fun
