We Lost Free Speech, Free Assembly & Free Choice But We Have Free Vaccines
While Roger Waters makes global headlines for f*ck Zuckerberg rant at NYC #HomeRun4Julian the sign that hung behind him is banned at Grand Central
Before the COVID lockdown #FreeAssange supporters held rush hour vigils at Grand Central Station every Thursday. Like everything else in life the vigils were suspended for the period of the lockdown but scheduled to resume yesterday. It didn’t happen.
Last week with the COVID reopening there was an NYC #HomeRun4Julian event in support of Free Press and Free Assange that included Pink Floyd musician Roger Waters. At the conclusion Roger waved a stack of papers and explained it was an offer from Mark Zuckerberg to use his song to promote Instagram. His reply went viral.
“This arrived to me on the Internet this morning. It’s a request for the rights to use my song Another Break In The Wall 2 in the making of a film to promote Instagram. It’s a missive from Mount Zuckerberg to me with an offer of a huge, huge amount of money and the answer is, F*CK you. No f*cking way. I only mention that because it’s the insidious movement to take over absolutely everything. Those of us who do have any power and I do have a little bit, I will not be a party to this bullsh*t Zuckerberg.“
The story has made headlines around the world but the point about Silicon Valley Oligarchs and censorship seems to have been lost along with more freedoms under obscure new restrictions politicians refer to as public safety measures for COVID.
In the exact same spot inside Grand Central Station where vigils were held weekly before the lockdown suddenly there’s a problem with free speech. Despite scant commuters in the terminal, the new lockdown policies have gone beyond restricting our free choice for masks and now restrict freedom to assemble and speak as well.
Instead of holding the weekly vigil we have our post 9-11 forces moved from the balcony to the ticket windows and free vaccine posters blanketing the walls. NYC has a public campaign that dwarfs the old “See something Say something“ terrorism fear using the new, unseen viral enemy and relentless mantra about keeping us safe with experimental mRNA vaccines peddled with incentives like free $31 weekly Metrocard.
It’s an unprecedented partnership between government and business that covers the full spectrum of media and inescapable. It’s even more irritating as one of the many banned from Twitter with bogus claims of operating multiple accounts with malicious content. There’s no appeal despite having a single account from a desktop computer and the same phone, real IP and email since 2008 or that I was logged in to my Twitter uninterrupted for over a month at the time of the ban. My toxic history and science was objectionable with studies and links for Bill Gates gmo cabal and gain of function research that has been the target of widespread censorship across social media.
Welcome back messages with mask warnings isn’t the normal I wanted to see. Constant suggestions to re-imagine have a foreboding tone as reality reveals that the “new normal“ is Constitutional rights replaced with a corporate regime. A real welcome would include free speech and free assembly instead we’re in for a fight.
Strong indictment of the control COVID-19 has fostered (and probably planned).
