"NYPD can and do deescalate successfully when it’s their objective NYPD can be peace keepers."

Yes and I'm sure a lot of the police today don't have the sweetheart deal that past generations got.

I've faced that in a union job, where newbies like me got much less benefits than the senior men.

At times, the seniors acted like we all got what they got.

Those were the times where people like me poked the giant in their eye.

I'm sure they have the same discontent. They can't afford their mortgages that made the previous generations "wealthy". They are now being pressured to go above and beyond for a cause that they're neither for nor against.

The revolution will not be televised because it's from within and decentralized. It's chaos challenging order that no longer serves the followers like it used to.

NYPD starting pay of $58,500 to max base pay of $136,446 plus benefits and overtime so it's closer to the old union packages.. our prison guards have similar compensation.

Oh, so the money is good.

The issue is that they bought houses and could afford them.

The pay today you can't afford a house near NYC.

My fiance is facing the same thing in the corporate world where executives think a 5k bonus is a big deal for the workers while they get much more.

She follows tiktok and those industry sites and said that it's not only quiet quitting but people are getting furious at management demanding things that they did in the past with 2x the workforce.

I would imagine the police are feeling the same strain as my technical blue collar job has been facing.

If the soldiers aren't able to provide for their families, they might not push themselves as hard for their bosses who grew fat on their backs.

No doubt we have exploitation of labor that rivals the worst of slave history.. biggest difference is old time rulers actually built things to pass on a durable grand legacy while current crop simply move numbers that most efficiently sucks the life out of anything viable until it's bled dry or brute force destruction that regards annihilation of any target from molecules to monuments progress.
