Hiya, I thank covid for turning me into an anti-vaxxer but I have been anti gmo, anti pesticide anti big animal ag and junk food, anti pharma and pro prevention rather than cure for about 10 years.
I see an interesting dichotomy in the anti-vaxxers/ medical freedom in the support for eg the Dutch farmers (who were also I believe protesting at lack of respect and the rise of animal rights activism) concerning the protein content of animal fodder- that they should be able to keep dairy cows indoors all their lives and feed them whatever the farmer likes, without regulation, even though the dung negatively affects the environment and even though 97% of the fodder is GMO and full of pesticides, without which enough fodder for the industry could probably not be produced. The animal feed trade is apparently worth about $ 500 billion.
Anti pollution policies seem to be met with much more resistance than before as people think they are thin ends of 15 minute cities wedges.
For me the battles date back to 1960's with same toxic forces on the other side. Best we can do is remember every dollar is a vote for products and services and giant corps run on our dollars. Move out of Bankster finance, buy local, join co-ops, grow food and communities & try to spread truth and sunshine in equal measures along the way! :~)
